Monty Sonenberg

Monte Sonnenberg is a self-taught oil painter and illustrator based in Port Dover, Ontario. A native of Norfolk County, Monte recently wrapped up a 37-year career as a reporter-photographer serving mainly with the Simcoe Reformer, a daily newspaper covering Norfolk and Haldimand counties. Working with the best of materials, Monte strives to capture and represent the mysterious and often humourous ideas that pop into his head from places unknown, all the while striving for compositions that are balanced, colourful, and pleasing to the eye.
